Noticing God’s Fingerprints

Posted by on Sep 30, 2013 in Blog | 49 comments

Every day I am amazed at how God makes a lasting impression. Through observing the splendor of His creation or watching how He’s dramatically changed a person’s life, I’m so thankful we can find His fingerprints everywhere. As I grow, the Lord is bringing to my attention more and more people who have witnessed His creative hands move and have stepped out in faith to share their testimony with others. Whether it’s through a phone call, online message, video, or book, I greatly admire a person’s choice to recognize and record God’s touch on his or her life. It’s always a clear reminder to me that our Creator’s hands are continuously working and there’s...

Letting our Light Shine

Watching children develop a passion for the visual and performing arts is truly wonderful. Witnessing them obey the Lord, use their gifts to glorify Him, and be able to shine like stars in the sky brings me even greater joy. This month I was extremely honored to have a manager in New York recognize my 8-year-old daughter’s love for singing and acting. After a significant amount of prayer and research, we decided to sign the contract. As my daughter begins this new adventure and she continues to work hard to develop her skills, I’ve a gained an intense desire to find ways to teach her the importance of letting others see she’s unmistakably a child of God. ...

Molding into God’s Masterpiece

Posted by on Jul 29, 2013 in Blog | 50 comments

This month I felt led to speak a message of encouragement through a brief video.  My husband and I enjoyed creating this movie and we hope that it will inspire you to grow! “But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our Potter; we are all the work of your hand”   (Isaiah 64:8). “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”           (1 Peter 4:10). What steps are you taking to mold into God’s masterpiece?   How are you engaging your heart, mind, and hands for God?

Holding on to God’s Promises

Posted by on Jun 27, 2013 in Blog | 46 comments

Watching someone firmly hold on to God’s promises in the midst of hardship can be a powerful, life-changing experience.   I’m often inspired to grow in my faith when I observe others trying to trust God and His Word in all circumstances. One special woman and her testimony will always stand out clearly in my mind.  She endured a painful miscarriage and two long years of trying to conceive.  Yet, with the support of her husband and many believers, she made the choice to stand firm in God’s promises and not falter in her faith.  There were days filled with deep sadness and frustration.  However, I greatly admired her courage to use the pain to change her into...

Pursuing Dreams

Posted by on May 28, 2013 in Blog | 44 comments

I’m thankful for a remarkable Creator who designed us to imagine, hope, and pursue a vision.  Life can feel wonderful and exciting when we believe we are on the path towards fulfilling a dream. As I commit to the process of growing, I’m learning the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who desire to give us Spirit-led wisdom, support, and counsel as we respond to the dreams that were placed on our hearts.   Prayer and encouragement from other believers helps us maintain a passion for God, embrace our calling, and learn how we can use our gifts for His glory.  Then through waiting on the Lord, we will discover we can depend on His strength, creativity,...

Communicating with the One Who Made Us

Posted by on Apr 29, 2013 in Blog | 52 comments

Years ago, I had the unique privilege of visiting the Ukraine and meeting new relatives for the first time. Despite my parents’ ability to speak Ukrainian fluently and their efforts to teach me the language, I’m embarrassed to admit I still didn’t know how to converse intelligently.  As a result, it was difficult at times communicating with many family members.  I was very thankful that laughter, smiles, and hugs could demonstrate our desire to show compassion and kindness towards each other. Reflecting back on these wonderful memories reminded me that no matter what language we speak or struggles we experience, our amazing Creator understands us at all times....
